Law Enforcement Agency Benefiting From Car Video Integration

During the 1980’s video integration and video camera systems were introduced for the police, however in the late 1990’s they started to get used more. U.S bureau also disclosed that with the implementation of video integration in police car’s helped the police to control the crime rate, street crimes were reduced too and police was able to perform efficiently on the road.
The use of video integration in police car’s was able to help the police force in a number of ways, some of the benefits of implementing the video camera’s were,

Progress Monitoring:
Most police officers reported that they had seen a positive change in their overall performance and were able to do better on their patrols. This was mainly because every police officer knew that whatever they did or say was being recorded and to enhance their reputation, they got motivated enough to perform well on the streets.

Improved Evidence Recording:
The car video integration system proved to bring about an advantage for the policemen when they were asked to present evidence in court. With camera’s being installed in each car, it was easy for the policemen to easily record the things that proved to be evidence and the courts no longer were blamed for being blind and no one pointed fingers at the law enforcement for doing them injustice.

Improved Training Sessions:
The prerecorded video clips proved as a great asset for the trainee’s and helped them grasp key points for their further development and growth in the police department. The video clips showed them how real life situations were and how the police acted to each situation.

Complaints, No longer An Issue:
People used to file complaints regarding the rude behavior of the police officer or the non-seriousness they depicted. After the car video integration, the department was able to keep an eye on each police officer in the field, dealt justice to those that acted against the rules or performed badly. Most police officers that were found guilty were sent for rehabilitation or dismissed from force thus raising the police department’s reputation in the eyes of its citizens.

By adapting to the car video integration system, the citizen noticed a remarkable change in their police officer, felt much safer and secure with them patrolling their streets. The car video integration was a step forward to keeping the law enforcement agencies well updated with the technological advancements in the world. A country acts well when their citizen are happy with them and the citizen are only satisfied and happy when they know they are secure and well looked after. The car video integration system helped the police by proving to be a safety measurer, an evidence collector and a performance evaluator.
